This year’s standout projects, companies and industry professionals in CEE & SEE real estate were revealed to a packed audience at Wyscigi in Warsaw for the 2024 edition of the CEEQA Gala with close to 600 leaders and luminaries of the sector’s most influential companies attending the event.
Guests mixed, dined and danced late into the night at the sector’s flagship annual industry dinner and awards ceremony celebrating the achievements and success stories of the sector year. Including a live show by chart-topping UK band ATOMIC KITTEN.
Winning projects included Penta Real Estate’s revitalisation scheme Masarycka Stage 1 in Prague (Office development of the year and Building of the year Central & Eastern Europe awards) and Linden Luxury Residences in Kyiv, Ukraine by Budhouse Group (Building of the year Southeast Europe). Also successful in the building awards section were Promenada Craiova by NEPI Rockcastle (Retail development of the year), Eurovea 2, Bratislava by JTRE (Mixed use development of the year), and in the Hotel & leisure category W Budapest Drechsler Palace by DVM Group (Hotel & leisure development of the year).
Robert Dobrzycki of Panattoni was recipient of the evening’s highlight award for Lifetime achievement in real estate. Other individual accolades went to Stuart Jordan of Savills (Industry professional of the year) and Magdalena Uler-Kleczek of 7r (Rising star industry professional).
The company awards were dominated this by Cushman & Wakefield who left with statues for Property management company of the year, Capital markets agent of the year and overall Agent of the year.
Panattoni (Industrial developer of the year) and CTP (Developer of the year) took home the heavyweight belts of the night. The investor of the year award was collected by CTP Invest, and Lender of the year was Erste Group. Project management firm Sentient took home the award for Development services company of the year and law firm CMS was named Legal & financial consulting firm of the year. MDC2 was named Rising star company and Trigema lifted the title of Construction company of the year. AXI Immo picked up the Local agent of the year award.
The ESG Champion awards were won by Skanska (ESG Champion company) and Diuna in Warsaw by Syrena Real Estate and Pinebridge Benson Elliot (ESG Champion building).
The award for overall Company of the year, decided by live electronic vote by gala guests, went to Panattoni.
The awards are judged by a panel of 36 senior representatives and owners of market leading regional and international companies active in the sector.
In a live connection during the awards ceremony the director of the Kharkiv Palace Hotel was presented with a special Resilience Award following its devastation by a missile in December 2023. A number of newly built Ukrainian projects were also strongly present in the awards including the successful Linden Luxury Residences residential scheme in Kyiv. The Ukraine group had attended a private meeting with 30 leaders from the CEE sector the day before the gala to discuss the situation and areas of future cooperation and opportunity.
